It is always a special experience to have a city break in a metropolis. There is plenty to look at, so it is important that you get selected the things you want to spend time on - otherwise you lose your breath too quickly.
City break in Berlin can be highly recommended whether you are into classical art, avant-garde or punk! As the capital of Germany with a population of about 3.5 million people, there almost has to be something for everyone.
Berlin is the melting pot any self-respecting metropolis should be. Here, everything is within the city limits and there is easy access to everything. In many places you can find remnants of reminiscences from both World War II and the Cold War, the merger of East and West Germany has given it all another shot of spice.
Lots of museums, exhibitions, concerts, green areas, ethnic areas - you name it, they've got! Take a walk through the city and you will be amazed at the diversity of the different neighborhoods. It is a joy to experience.
The city is growing and new architecturally well-shaped buildings are popping up everywhere, and yet you still find the cosiness and intimacy of the old parts of the city.
There are tons of art and culture in Berlin. Both the classical and established art, but certainly also the experimental kind, which is preferably free from the "elitist crowd of reviewers". The underground is bursting with both musical challenges and picturesque experiences.
I can strongly recommend that you experience the city on foot. Take one if necessary bustur with a sightseeing bus around and see the important places, but allow yourself to experience the sounds and smells of the city as you walk around the streets. There is a very special atmosphere that you don't get from a bus or by taking the Ubahn from attraction to attraction.
The perfect place for a city break!
