U-bahn museum for the railroad enthusiast

If you are interested in railways and trains, then it might be an idea to look inside Berlin's U-bahn museum.

The museum is housed in an old signal tower by Olympic station, here you can get an insight into rail traffic from earlier times. There are both lorries, units, brake housings, control panels and much more.

In connection with the museum, runs are also arranged with the old trains, but only on special occasions. It is run exclusively by volunteers, so opening hours and events are limited.

Please note that the museum is only open on the 2nd Saturday of the month. That may change with time and interest, but so far so good. In addition, there is only access via a narrow staircase, so it is not a place for people with walking difficulties.

The museum has a website, but is still only in German.
